In the history of the Indian Premier League (IPL), we have witnessed several great leaders. Former Indian captain MS Dhoni is undoubtedly the most popular leader in the history of IPL. Recently, MS Dhoni handed CSK captaincy to Ravindra Jadeja before the ongoing season of the Indian Premier League 2022.

CSK batter Ambati Rayudu hailed the leadership skills of newly appointed CSK captain Ravindra Jadeja. Rayudu claimed that CSK would be successful under the captaincy and leadership of Jadeja. He also added that Jadeja has the capability to lead the Indian cricket team too in future.

“There is a shift and it has to come. A lot of youngsters will continue to feature in CSK as the years go by. Having a young captain like Jadeja who has done it and seen it all, it will be great for them to be under him and have his confidence. They have the backing of the captain and I think he is going in the right direction and even the team is. CSK will be very, very successful under him”, said Rayudu while speaking on CSK’s Youtube channel.

Filling in MS Dhoni’s shoes, it’s never going to happen. But Jaddu definitely has it in him and under the guidance of Mahi bhai and till the time he’s around on the ground with him it will be very easy for him. Jadeja will become better. He has it in him to not only lead CSK but also India one day,” Ambati Rayudu added.

We will ever see someone like MS Dhoni – Ambati Rayudu

Rayudu is in awe of MS Dhoni’s leadership style and finishing skills. He went on to call him an irreplaceable player in the history of cricket. Rayudu was impressed with the masterclass knock of former CSK captain against Mumbai Indians in IPL 2022, where he chased down 16 runs in four balls in the last over.

“We have seen Mahi bhai do that all his life and it was unbelievable. I don’t think India or the world has seen a cricketer like him and I don’t think we’ll ever see someone like him,” added Rayudu.
