Even if at the U-19 level, the enormity of an India versus Pakistan contest always sizes to fade away amongst the general public.
The moment India went on to beat Bangladesh and Pakistan went pass Southafrica in their respective quarterfinals of the ongoing ICC U-19 Cricket world cup in NewZealand, the expectations started to raise and everyone awaited the semi-final between India & Pakistan.
And when India beat Pakistan today in the game, not only the team jubilated beating Pakistan but the Indian fans all over the world did as well.
Rahul Dravid as a coach of this Indian U-19 side believes this that U19 cricket is all about the talent getting the exposure & the opportunity to different conditions, opponents and the enormity of a world event really adds to it.
And so young batsmen like Prithvi Shaw, Shubman Gill as well as fast bowlers like Mavi & Kamlesh Nagarkoti have really caught the eyeballs of many around India alongside many others and hence were purchased in the IPL auctions recently by the franchisees. Which will be another wonder of the U-19 providing stepping stone for higher things and a great learning curve.
The twitter after this one really went abuzz with tweets coming in from all corners congratulating the Indian team and appreciating this wonderful one-sided win over the arch-rivals.
Shubman Gill the Indian right-handed batsmen has really become famous amongst the Twitterati after his hundred versus Pakistan today and went on to become the man of the match too. Many tweets came in about him and also the leadership of the Indian Captain Prithvi Shaw.
Overall this has been a fantastic team effort that shows the depth of talent in Indian Cricket across all level and the credit of it goes to the governing body that is BCCI for successfully running the largest domestic scene in world cricket.
With only the final hurdle of playing the final versus Australia to go the Twitterati hopes for the title now and expect this buzz that we saw today to continue.
Well done #IndiaU19 boys. One more to go. Give it all that you have . Consistent cricket by the boys has been the highlight of their #WorldCup campaign. #ShubmanGill in roaring form. Keep it up young man ! #TeamEffort

– before the harsh criticism on U19 bunch, former Pakistan greats must note that Rahul Dravid chose to work with India U19. How many from Pakistan would opt to serve at this level?

Shubman Gill's 102 not out is the first ever century in India-Pakistan contests in the U19 World Cups. Previous highest: 85* by Salman Butt at Lincoln in 2002. #U19CWC

Congratulations India U19, India’s preparation, approach and dedication was evident on the field. Pakistan played poor and they were bound to lose regardless.
Nevertheless Pakistan found three solid pacers to look forward Shaheen Shah, Arshad & Musa.

Indian Cricket has a 2 year plan to prepare their every U-19 bunch to win this tournament. This U-19 batch whitewashed England in England across both 4 days & List A games and now in U-19 final. Clue there when India sees a overseas tour an year away at the senior level.
