India’s young sensation, Jemimah Rodrigues has taken England and Wales Cricket Board’s The Hundred by storm. The star batter, playing for Northern Superchargers continued her impressive form in the tournament. Former England cricketer Michael Vaughan has been left impressed with the youngster’s performance.
Vaughan took to his social media account to praise Jemimah. He tweeted:

The Northern Superchargers won the toss and opted to bat first against the Trent Rockets on Monday. Jemimah Rodrigues and her opening partner, Lauren Winfield Hill set up a partnership of 64 runs for the first wicket. Jemimah scored 60 runs off 41 deliveries, including ten boundaries at a strike rate of 146.34.
The Northern Superchargers had set a target of 150 and won the match by 27 runs.
“When you are timing the ball well, make the most of it. I learned that while I was sitting out so just trying to extend the form. In the last game, I didn’t get many balls in the powerplay, today I wasn’t timing it initially,” said Jemimah during the post-match presentation.

Playing against the Welsh Fire on Saturday, Jemimah was the lone fighter for the Northern Superchargers. She slammed an unbeaten 43-ball 92 to chase down 131. The knock included seventeen boundaries and a six. Jemimah is currently leading the chart for most runs in The Hundred with 152 runs in two matches at a strike rate of 180.95.

The 20-year-old was going through a rough patch lately in her career. She was dropped from India playing XI in the series against South Africa and in the recently concluded series against England. But Jemimah has roared back to form. She is currently leading the chart for most runs in The Hundred with 152 runs in two matches at a strike rate of 180.95.
