India’s limited-overs vice-captain Rohit Sharma spoke about his dating days with his wife Ritika Sajdeh. In a conversation on Sky Sports Cricket, Dinesh Karthik asked Rohit Sharma about his dating days.
Rohit stated that he and Ritika are close friends, and it was their mutual buddies who started seeing something more than friendship between the two. In a heartfelt conversation between Rohit Sharma and Dinesh Karthik, the Mumbai Indians captain said:
“We actually never felt like that. We were working together. She is still my manager and she was my manager back then as well. We had a straightforward working relationship and after working hours, we were really close friends. I don’t care about what people think, my close friends said that they see something in this relationship.Â

Rohit Sharma also spoke about why he kept his dating life a secret from his friends. He said that his friends were right about the couple and he did not know how to inform them about his and Ritika’s relationship.
“It was just friendship and caring about each other. But, it later turned out that all my friends were right. I didn’t know how to inform my friends about it. When we started dating officially, I started thinking about how to convey it to my friends. I felt like these guys will not let me live,” the Indian opener said.

Rohit Sharma and Ritika Sajdeh tied the knot in December 2015 in Mumbai. They were blessed with a baby girl, Samaira in December 2018. Speaking to Dinesh Karthik, Rohit Sharma also revealed if his daughter, Samaira is a daddy’s girl or not.
“Actually she loves her mama the most. I will say I am the second. I am happy with it,” Rohit concluded.Â
