Indian cricketer Abhishek Sharma recently took to social media to vent his anger at IndiGo Airlines over misconduct by one of their employees at the Delhi Airport. Thus, Abhishek stated, arriving on time, he missed the flight and destroyed the holiday, which he had all to himself, on it.
The incident happened on January 13, a few days before the T20I series where Abhishek is expected to be included in the Indian team for the series against England starting January 22.
Youngster Abhishek, 24 years old, was included in the T20I squad of India to play against England recently, where he was part of the 15-man team. As for the national call-up, Abhishek was playing for Punjab in the Vijay Hazare Trophy.
He represented Punjab as recently as this January 11, when he took the field for the team that lost to Maharashtra in Vadodara and thus got eliminated from the tournament. However, T20I series will be the next focus for Abhishek as he will aim to make a huge impact for his team against England.
“1-day holiday completely ruined”- Abhishek Sharma

Indian cricketer Abhishek Sharma blasted IndiGo Airlines on Monday, January 13, claiming that a staff worker at Delhi Airport had engaged in wrongdoing. Abhishek was frustrated, saying that even though he arrived on schedule, missing a flight destroyed his one day of vacation.
Abhishek stated in a strongly worded message posted on social media that he missed the flight because he was transferred between counters without need. He called out a certain employee and made demands.
“I had the worst experience with Indigo at Delhi airport, and the behaviour of staff, especially counter manager Ms Sushmita Mittal, was absolutely unacceptable. Arrived on time at the correct counter, but they redirected me unnecessarily to another counter. only to tell me later that check-in was closed, making me miss my flight. I only had a one-day holiday, which has now been completely ruined. To make it even worse, they are offering no further helpful assistance. This is by far the worst airline experience, and worst staff management I’ve ever had,” Abhishek Sharma said in his Instagram story.
