India’s ace cricketer Jhulan Goswami achieved yet another historic feat in the ICC Women’s World Cup 2022. She became the first-ever women’s cricketer to take 250 ODI wickets in the history of the sport on Wednesday.

Jhulan Goswami achieved this record against England at the Bay Oval in Mount Maunganui. She dismissed English opener Tammy Beaumont, to get India off to a flying start in the second innings of the match.

Jhulan bowled an outside off-stump delivery, which nipped back into the right-hander and hit her pads. The umpire did not look convinced and gave the decision in Beaumont’s favor. However, the Indian team reviewed the decision, which was eventually given as out.

With this milestone, Jhulan Goswami also became the first women’s cricketer to pick 350 International wickets. She has 44 Test, 56 T20I, and 250 ODI wickets to her name in a 20-year long international career.
