The second test match between Pakistan and Australia at the National Stadium in Karachi is at an interesting stage. Australia set Pakistan a mammoth target of 506 runs in the fourth innings. The hosts, on the back of skipper Babar Azam’s unbeaten century are 192 for two down at the end of day four.

During the play on day four, Australia skipper, Pat Cummins’ unusual act caught everyone’s attention. The pacer was spotted repairing the pitch himself with the help of a hammer. The incident took place during the fourth innings of the test. The video of Cummins repairing the pitch with a hammer went viral on social media.

Pakistan Cricket Board compared Pat Cummins to a Marvel comics character ‘Thor’ in their tweet. They posted the video, captioning it as:

Babar Azam’s unbeaten 102 sets up the chase for Pakistan

Babar Azam led Pakistan’s chase in the fourth innings against Australia on Tuesday at the National Stadium in Karachi. He slammed an unbeaten 102 off 197 balls, including 12 boundaries to set up the chase for his team. Opener Abdullah Shafique has played anchor to Babar, remaining not out on 71 at the end of day four.

Earlier in the match, Australia bowled Pakistan out for 148 runs, after declaring on 556 in the first innings. Usman Khwaja slammed 160 runs, while Alex Carey missed out on a century for Australia in the first innings.

They took a huge first-innings lead of 408 runs. The Aussie batters then scored brisk 97 runs and declare to set a 506 runs target for Pakistan. Skipper Babar Azam will resume the play for Pakistan on day four with Abdullah Shafique.
