Watch- Babar Azam Reacts Hilariously After Imam-ul-Haq Gets Hit At Short-Leg

Pakistan and Australia are currently facing each other in Rawalpindi in the first Test of the 3-match series. A hilarious incident occured during the match which caught the attention of fans.

It all happened during the 46th over of Australia’s first innings. World No. 1 Test batter Marnus Labuschagne played a pull shot off Naseem Shah’s bowling and the ball directly hit the shoulder of Imam-Ul-Haq who was fielding at short leg. Imam immediately fell on the ground, holding his shoulder in pain.

The other Pakistani fielders, however saw the funny side of the situation. Skipper Babar Azam first came to comfort Imam but few seconds later gave a friendly slap on his helmet and asked him to carry on with the match. The on-air commentators couldn’t help but laugh at the hilarious scene.

Imam-ul-Haq registers his maiden Test Century

Talking about the match, Pakistan declared their first innings at 476/4. Former skipper Azhar Ali played a brilliant knock of 185 runs before losing his wicket to part-timer Marnus Labuschagne. Left-handed opener Imam-ul-Haq also registered his maiden Test century, scoring 157 runs, which included 16 fours and 2 sixes. Imam, who was playing Test cricket after 27 months, exhibited determination throughout his innings. He along with Azhar added 208 runs for the 2nd wicket.

The pitch has received a lot of criticism from the cricket fraternity for being slow and lifeless. Even for the spectators, watching this historic match finish in a draw would be a disappointing experience. Australia will resume proceedings on Day 5 with their scorecard reading 449/7.
