Team India cricketer Rahul Chahar has tied the knot with long time girlfriend Ishani Johar on Wednesday (March 9) at a private wedding in Goa. The news comes only a couple of days ahead of the start of IPL 2022, which is slated to commence on March 26.

The event was attended by only a handful of guests, which includes his brother and celebrated cricketer Deepak Chahar. Another bright talent, Shivam Mavi, who is Rahul Chahar’s close teammate from the U19 days was also graced the occasion.

Chahar took to social media platform Instagram to share a couple of images from the big day for his millions of fans and followers. He captioned the post as:

“Our Happily ever after!!”

Rahul Chahar to ply trade for Punjab Kings in IPL 2022

The young leg-spinner, who rose to fame in the IPL, was not retained by Mumbai Indians ahead of the IPL 2022 auction. Chahar entered the auction at a reserve price of INR 75 lakhs and triggered a bidding war.

Punjab Kings, who had let go off Ravi Bishnoi, finally managed to acquire his services at INR 5.75 crores.

Rahul Chahar, who has 46 IPL wickets under his belt, will look to have a superlative campaign to brighten his chances for the T20 World Cup to follow later this year in Australia.
