England Tests captain Ben Stokes indicated that his team is not afraid of Jasprit Bumrah. Addressing the media in the pre-build-ups of the 1st Test match at Headingley, Stokes asserted that although Bumrah was an all-world bowler, he could not single-handedly ensure that India had won a Test series.
The transition to Tests in India will certainly be among the most challenging in years as it starts its journey with a five-match visit to England. Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, and R. Ashwin have come and gone, and Shubman Gill starts a new World Test Championship cycle with an even younger team in one of the harshest environments in world cricket.

Ben Stokes, the captain of the England Test squad, stated that Jasprit Bumrah is not feared by his side. Despite being a top-tier bowler, Stokes told the media in the lead-up to the first Test match at Headingley that Bumrah was not capable of winning India a Test series by himself.
“No fear. In international cricket, you come up against quality opposition all the time. We know his class and what he brings to any team he plays for, but in terms of fear, definitely not. I don’t think one bowler alone is going to win the series for either team. All 11 [players] have to stand up. I don’t think there is just one person in either team holding the key to success.”
Jasprit Bumrah has a spectacular record against England in the Test matches. He has taken 60 wickets out of 14 games that he has played against England. Precisely, under English conditions, Bumrah played 9 Test matches where he registered 37 wickets at a sensational average of 26.27. His average overall against England puts him at 22.16.
