IND vs AUS: Twitter Reacts As Suryakumar Yadav Becomes Walking Wicket To Mitchell Starc In Successive Games

The Australian Cricket Team produced a dominating display as they registered 10 wickets win over India in the 2nd One-day international match played at Vizag on 19 March 2023.

Chasing a modest target of 118 runs to win, Mitchell Marsh and Travis Head put pressure on the Indian bowlers right from the word go. Marsh continued the superb form that he displayed in the first One-day international in Mumbai. Travis Head joined in the act with attacking strokes keeping the momentum going for Australia.

Mitchell Marsh completed his half-century off 28 deliveries. At the end of the first 10 overs, Head and Marsh raced away to 112 for 0.

Travis Head also looked in sublime touch taking on the Indian bowlers and reaching his fifty off 29 deliveries. Mitchell Marsh completed the job with a boundary to help Australia win the match by 10 wickets with 39 overs to spare. Mitchell Marsh made 66 off 36 balls with 6 fours and 6 sixes while Travis Head remained not out on 51 off 30 deliveries with 10 boundaries.

With this win, Australia levelled the 3-match ODI series at 1-1. The third and deciding ODI will be played at M Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai on 22 March.

Mitchell Starc

Mitchell Starc creates havoc with brilliant bowling

Mitchell Starc produced a remarkable bowling spell picking up 5 wickets for 53 in 8 overs. Australian captain Steve Smith won the toss and decided to field first. Starc got the breakthrough dismissing Gill caught by Labuschagne at a backward point. Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma looked impressive before Starc struck twice off successive deliveries getting rid of Rohit and Surya Kumar Yadav.

Mitchell Starc produced the same type of delivery to dismiss Surya Kumar Yadav off the first ball he faced. The left-arm pace bowler showed his class as he got rid of Surya in the 1st One-day international at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai. It was a remarkable bowling effort by the Australian bowlers to skittle India for just 117 in 26 overs.

Starc finished with 5 wickets, Sean Abbott 3 wickets, and Nathan Ellis 2 wickets to skittle the hosts for a paltry total.
