Team India batter Rinku Singh has had an impressive start to his International career. He played yet another incredible knock in the fourth T20I against Australia on Friday, December 1 at the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Stadium in Raipur. His audacious six off Matthew Short left everyone in awe.
Rinku Singh walked out to bat after the fall of skipper Suryakumar Yadav’s wicket. He slammed a boundary he faced, starting another onslaught. The power-hitter took the attack to the opposition bowlers. In the twelfth over, Matthew Short bowled an off-stump delivery. Rinku brought out the switch-hit to slam it over backward point for a six.
The youngster smashed another six off Ben Dwarshuis through the long-on area. It was a 100-meter six. He was dismissed for 46 runs off 29 deliveries, with four boundaries and two sixes. Jason Behrendorff bowled a yorker to Rinku Singh, who failed to get his bat down in time. The ball struck low on the pad and in front of the stumps to dismiss the Indian middle-order batter.

Team India managed 174 runs in the innings. Rinku Singh top-scored with 46 runs, while Yashasvi Jaiswal and Jitesh Sharma also scored valuable 30s. Jitesh slammed three sixes and a boundary to score a 19-ball 35, at a strike rate of 184.21. Meanwhile, Ben Dwarshuis took a three-wicket haul for Australia in the innings. Jason Behrendorff and Tanveer Sangha also picked up two wickets each.

Rinku Singh has scored 99 runs in four matches for India at an average of 99 in the ongoing T20I series against Australia. He played a match-winning knock for India in the first T20I, slamming a six off the final ball to take his team home. Overall, he has scored 174 runs at a strike rate of 197.73 in T20Is.
