As the 14th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) stands postponed due to a couple of COVID19 cases among the players and support staffs, the focus shifts to international cricket. Indian Cricket Team is all set to play a couple of exciting encounters this year starting with the much-awaited ICC World Test Championship final against New Zealand.

A five-match Test series against England will follow after the ICC World Test Championship final. Other series like India’s tour of South Africa and New Zealand’s tour of India are also in line, but they are yet to be confirmed. The T20 World Cup in India is scheduled to be played in October-November, however, dark clouds loom large considering India is going through a crisis due to COVID19.

However, all eyes will be on the Indian Cricket Team’s clash against New Zealand in the first-ever ICC World Test Championship final. The encounter will get underway on June 18 at the Rose Bowl in Southampton. The team is expected to leave for the UK later this year after a hard quarantine. BCCI is in no mood to risk any casualties after IPL 2021.

Following the World Test Championship final, India and England will lock horns in a five-match bilateral Test series starting from August 4 in Nottingham before the caravan moves to other parts of the country.
