With humidity levels expected to range between 80 and 90 percent, there is a strong likelihood that the outfield could become slick and the ball damp as the match progresses, especially during the latter half of the chase.

Traditionally, Chepauk is known for aiding spinners. The surface tends to grip and assist turn, demanding patience and precision from batters. However, once dew settles in, the dynamic shifts.
