The Sunrises Hyderabad today dominated the Chennai Super Kings at Dubai in IPL 2020. Batting first SRH were stunned early as they lost their gun opener, Johnny Bairstow.
Following the loss skipper, David Warner and Manish Pandey batted sensibly without taking any risk. However, SRH lost Warner, Pandey and Kane Williamson is quick succession.
Sunrisers Hyderabad Win By 7 Runs Against Chennai Super Kings
Then when it looked as if SRH will struggle to reach 150, Priyam Garg announced his arrival. The teenager scored a sublime maiden half-century and took the SRH total to 164.
Meanwhile, it was expected to be a close-run chase by CSK. Unfortunately for Dhoni and co. the fast bowlers of SRH exploited the swinging conditions and never allowed them to go ahead of the asking run rate. Plus, their trump card Rashid Khan in the middle overs only gave away 12 runs and froze CSK’s chase.

Hopefully, We Get The Momentum Going Forward – David Warner
MS Dhoni finally promoted him in the batting lineup but to no avail. Ravindra Jadeja tried his best but CSK fell 7 runs short of the target. This is now CSK’s third consecutive loss in IPL 2020. Dhoni’s side will further stay at the bottom of the IPL table. On the other hand, the Sunrisers Hyderabad are now back in business in IPL 2020 after winning their last two matches.
Here’s what the winning skipper of SRH, David Warner had to say in the post-match presentation
Warner said , “I backed him ( Abdul Samad bowling the 20th over), I had no option. We tried to kill the game in the 19th over. Could have given it to Abhishek, but Samad with his height had to bowl the last one. This was a little better as compared to the last one. It was quite challenging, it’s good to see swing upfront.
