The fixing allegation on IPL is nothing new as every year some mysterious events spark the stories. Yet again the IPL 2020, is under the scanner this time after fans detected a strange Tweet from the Mumbai Indians franchise. The Mumbai Indians were facing the Delhi Capitals in the table-toppers clash at Abu Dhabi.

Batting was the Delhi Capitals reached a total of 162-4 after their allotted 20 overs. Nevertheless, things got interesting when a Tweet from the official account of Mumbai Indians at 7:38 PM when the match had just commenced foretold Delhi Capitals to be 163-5 after 19.5 overs.

The actual score that DC posted and score that was Tweeted by MI more than an hour back was almost identical.

Fans Claim IPL 2020 As Fixed After Mumbai Indians Error

 

This resulted in fans questioning the integrity of the matches and started trolling the Mumbai Indians franchise. However, the MI official Twitter account immediately deleted the Tweet but by then the fans had taken screenshots which they posted on their profiles.

Meanwhile, the social media profiles of all the franchise have done a commendable job in keeping everyone entertained during IPL 2020. They have been extremely active on social media and have engaged with fans through witty comments and memes.

But this doesn’t change the fact that the tweet from MI was remarkably controversial and irresponsible. Coming back the match the Mumbai Indians went on to win the match in the last over by 5 wickets against Delhi Capitals.

Furthermore, now with this blunder of MI getting viral on social media the IPL governing council and BCCI may even examine the franchise. The Mumbai Indians which is owned by the Ambani’s could also release a statement to clarify their Tweet in which they prophesied the almost exact score soon after the match got underway.
