Former India cricketer Harbhajan Singh feels that the Royal Challengers Bangalore might win their maiden Indian Premier League (IPL) title this season. The Faf Du Plessis-led team defeated the Lucknow Super Giants to enter the Qualifiers of the tournament.

Royal Challengers Bangalore will take on the Rajasthan Royals on Friday in the Qualifier 2 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Ahead of the much-awaited clash, Harbhajan Singh expressed that he has a gut feeling that the Royal Challengers Bangalore may win this season.

Bangalore has not been able to win the Indian Premier League over the years. They have runner-ups thrice before. Speaking to Sportskeeda, Harbhajan Singh said,

“This RCB team has very good players. When you see their batting line-up or bowling line-up, there are players who can win the trophy for them. I have a gut feeling that RCB will go all the way this season. And if they do, they’ll probably lift the cup.”

Royal Challengers Bangalore just has to come and play like one unit: Harbhajan Singh

The Royal Challengers Bangalore, in a must-win match, defeated the Gujarat Titans to sneak past the Delhi Capitals on the points table and qualify for the knockouts. Harbhajan Singh has expressed that the team just needs to continue believing in themselves.

The former cricketer also added that Bangalore needs to play like one unit and take the qualifier as just another match. Harbhajan said:

“RCB need to continue having the faith and belief that they can do it. They have got the team. They just have to come and play like one unit. It will come down to the individuals – how badly they need it (victory). They need to approach it (Qualifier 2) as another game. Remember, they have come from behind and it is difficult to stop a team that has come from behind.”
