In the 2023 Indian Premier League (IPL) matchup against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), Rajasthan Royals (RR) supporters experienced a memorable evening.

While Jos Buttler ultimately conceded a duck, captain Sanju Samson eventually began hitting as freely as Jaiswal. The contest finally came down to whether the latter can reach a century before the end of the chase.

When RR needed three runs to win and had one ball left in the 13th over. Jaiswal eventually got off the strike and reached 94. Samson was at 48 off 28 at the time and Suyash’s delivery appeared to be wide down the leg side.

Instead of asking Samson to hit a six to end the game quickly, Samson extended his front leg all the way to block the ball. Many fans on social media praised the act. Some of whom appeared to compare it to something MS Dhoni once did for Virat Kohli in the 2014 T20 World Cup semifinal.
