IPL 2024: [WATCH]- A 14-Year-Old Boy Bypasses Security, Runs Onto The Field To Embrace Virat Kohli

In the 19th match of the IPL 2024 season, there was a brief interruption when a 14-year-old fan managed to breach security and ran onto the field to hug the star Royal Challengers Bangalore player, Virat Kohli. The incident occurred in the second half of the RR-RCB match.

Although initially surprised, Kohli eventually allowed the youngster to hug him, albeit reluctantly. Shortly after, security on the field caught the fan and took him away.

The fan, who identified himself as Munir Ali from Bihar’s Araria district, became famous on social media because of a video showing him on the field.

People had different opinions about what happened with star player Kohli, who later scored his eighth century in the league’s history during the same match on Saturday.

As per reports, Ali reached Jaipur on the match day and bought tickets from someone named Shubham outside the stadium for INR 1,900 to see Virat Kohli in action.

Officers who detained him mentioned that Munir Ali was taken for further inquiry and didn’t have his ticket with him at the moment. He provided Shubham’s contact number to the authorities.

RR maintains their strong performance in IPL 2024

When it comes to the Rajasthan Royals, the initial winners persist in delivering impressive displays in the ongoing IPL 2024. With four victories in as many matches, they remain undefeated in the tournament.

Presently, the team leads the points table with eight points from four matches, maintaining a lead over teams such as Kolkata Knight Riders and Chennai Super Kings.

In contrast, Royal Challengers Bangalore has had a disappointing beginning to the IPL 2024 season. Despite playing five matches, RCB has only secured one victory out of the five matches played, placing them in eighth position in the standings with just two points from five matches.
