On Monday (March 18), Mumbai Indians (MI) launched their official anthem for the upcoming IPL 2024 season. The video featured several star players such as Rohit Sharma, Suryakumar Yadav, Jasprit Bumrah, Hardik Pandya, and Ishan Kishan.
The majority of these players have already gathered at the team’s camp in Mumbai and commenced their preparations for the forthcoming season.
Under the guidance of Hardik Pandya, Mumbai Indians embark on a new journey after Rohit Sharma’s decade-long successful tenure. The IPL 2024 campaign for Mumbai Indians will kick off on March 24 with a match against Pandya’s former team, Gujarat Titans, in Ahmedabad.

“I feel they can win IPL 2024”-Aakash Chopra’s thoughts on Mumbai Indians before the upcoming season
Former Indian cricketer Aakash Chopra recently assessed the Mumbai Indians squad ahead of IPL 2024. He highlighted that under the leadership of Hardik Pandya, the team boasts a strong Indian core, a characteristic that sets them apart from most other teams.
Chopra expressed his belief that Mumbai Indians have a strong chance of clinching their sixth trophy this season due to this advantage. Speaking in a video on his YouTube channel, Chopra stated:
“Most teams that go on to win the IPL have a solid Indian core. We have seen that teams that are overdependent on their foreign players eventually end up faltering. When you look at the Mumbai players, there’s a wealth of experience in their Indian core with seven players having India caps. Normally the Indian core is a weakness with teams but not with Mumbai and that’s why I feel they can win IPL 2024.”
He continued: “Suryakumar Yadav hasn’t played cricket for a while so even he will be hungry. Jasprit Bumrah is back in the IPL after missing last season and they just have an incredible combination. They can play multiple overseas pacers if they want. Their players have the hunger.”
