IPL 2024: [WATCH]- Yuzvendra Chahal Boosts Rajasthan Royals captain Sanju Samson’s Confidence During Practice

Rajasthan Royals leg spinner Yuzvendra Chahal enjoyed a light moment in the nets while skipper Sanju Samson honed his batting skills ahead of the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 season on Monday, March 18.

The Royals shared a video on Instagram showing Chahal humorously complimenting Samson during the practice session. RR captioned the post:

“Sanju’s hype man behind the nets, brought to you by his Chintu.”

Last season, Samson accumulated 362 runs in 14 matches at a strike rate of 153.39, with three half-centuries. His contributions aided RR in securing fifth place on the points table with seven wins in 14 games.

The right-handed batsman, retained for INR 14 crore, has consistently scored over 300 runs each season since 2017. Overall, the 29-year-old has amassed 3,888 runs in 152 games, including three centuries and 20 fifties.

Following his omission from the 2023 ODI World Cup squad, Samson is eager to showcase his abilities and stake a claim for the 2024 T20 World Cup through consistent performances in the T20 tournament.

Samson’s most recent cricketing appearance was for Kerala in the Ranji Trophy, where he scored a fifty against Chhattisgarh.
