Gujarat Titans’ star leg-spinner Rashid Khan displayed excellent batting form during the team’s recent practice session at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Known for his skillful spin bowling, Rashid has also impressed with his aggressive batting performances.
The 25-year-old showcased his destructive batting abilities in the nets before his team’s first match. The Afghan spin maestro showcased his signature no-look and snake shots, along with a selection of MS Dhoni-style helicopter shots.

Rashid Khan is anticipated to play a crucial role for Gujarat Titans under the leadership of Shubman Gill. With Hardik Pandya traded to Mumbai Indians (MI) and Mohammed Shami sidelined, Rashid will carry a significant responsibility.
It’s noteworthy that Rashid underwent back surgery after the 2023 ODI World Cup, sidelining him for several months. He made his comeback earlier this month during Afghanistan’s three-match T20I series against Ireland.
Upon his return, he demonstrated exceptional form and earned the Player of the Series title, claiming eight wickets across three matches. Additionally, the skilled young player contributed a rapid 25-run innings during the second match.

The Afghanistan team, captained by Rashid Khan, faced a 38-run loss in the T20I series opener against Ireland, being dismissed for 111 runs while chasing a target of 150.
However, Afghanistan rebounded strongly after the initial setback, securing victories in the second and third matches by 10 and 57 runs, respectively. Reflecting on his team’s 2-1 series triumph, Rashid shared on the microblogging platform X (formerly Twitter):
“There’s no better feeling than being back and winning your first series right after an injury.”
