Former India fast bowler Ashok Dinda has often been trolled on social media. When any bowler in the IPL is expensive the trollers make him a part of ‘The Dinda Academy’. The joke has been a constant in the last few years as Dinda’s name has often been used for laughter.

However, recently Ashok Dinda fittingly gave a reminder to his critics about the hard work he has put in his cricket career. Dinda in his first-class career has over 400 wickets and is often acknowledged as a Bengal cricket legend in the cricketing circuit.

Meanwhile, Dinda had an ordinary 10-year IPL career. The fast bowler was expensive whenever he bowled in the league as a result was immensely criticised by cricket enthusiasts. The jokes about ‘Dinda Academy’ ever since has been rising with memes being circulated on various platforms.

Even though Dinda didn’t have a successful IPL career, he was sensational in domestic cricket for his state side Bengal. On flat pitches in Indian every year, Dinda would pick bagful of wickets and trouble the best of batsmen in the domestic circle.

As far as Dinda’s domestic cricket record is concerned it has been nothing short of glorious. The skilful fast bowler for Bengal has picked 339 Ranji trophy wickets whereas the overall count of his first-class wickets stands at 420.

Furthermore, Dinda has also represented India in 13 ODIs and 9 T20Is in which he has scalped 51 and 17 wickets respectively.
