Deepak Chahar is currently one of India’s top bowling all-rounders. In addition to swing bowling, Chahar has recently demonstrated his enormous batting potential at the international level.

He helped India win an ODI against Sri Lanka in July 2021, when they were on the verge of losing. Deepak Chahar’s unbeaten 69 helped India chase down the target of 276 runs after the side had been reduced to 193-7 at one point. He came close to repeating his performance in the last ODI of the recent series against South Africa but unfortunately failed to get the team over the line

In a recent video on his YouTube channel, former India cricketer turned commentator Aakash Chopra, shared his predictions for the IPL Auctions 2022. In the upcoming mega auctions, Aakash Chopra expects Deepak to be the most expensive Indian bowler.

I still believe that Deepak Chahar will be the most expensive; it’s just a gut feel,” Aakash said in the video.

Deepak Chahar is a three-over powerplay bank: Aakash Chopra

Aakash said that Deepak Chahar possesses a variety of skills and that can be an asset for any team.

He is a wicket-taker. Even if he is expensive, he will pick up wickets. He is batting alright, and is putting his case forward again and again,” added Aakash.

Aakash praised the right-arm pacer from Rajasthan for consistently bowling the tough powerplay overs with a high success rate.

“There will be a lot of teams who will put money on him [Deepak] because he is a three-over powerplay bank,” said Aakash.

Meanwhile, the IPL 2022 mega auction is set to take place in Bangalore on the 12th and 13th of February. With the arrival of two new teams: Lucknow and Ahmedabad, this season is going to be a 10-team affair.
