Jay Shah, Chairman of the International Cricket Council (ICC), met with UEFA President Aleksander Čeferin ahead of the 2024-25 UEFA Champions League final between Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) and Inter Milan. The meeting was held in Munich, Germany — the host city for the final on Saturday, May 31.

On Saturday, Jay Shah shared photos on Instagram from his meeting with the UEFA President in Munich, showing them in formal attire, posing with the Champions League trophy and shaking hands. He called it an honor to represent cricket and wished PSG and Inter luck for the final.

“Honoured to represent cricket in Munich ahead of the @championsleague Final and have discussions with UEFA President Aleksander Čeferin. It’s always valuable to spend time with other sporting leaders as the @ICC expands our sport’s global reach. Good luck to @psg and @inter in the tournament decider,” Shah wrote in his post.

Earlier this year, Jay Shah met FIFA President Gianni Infantino at the 144th IOC Session held in Costa Navarino, Greece. The meeting underscored Shah’s growing influence in international sports and his commitment to expanding cricket’s global reach. Infantino praised Shah for his contributions to the sport’s development.
