A fan humorously told India batter Rinku Singh to return Virat Kohli‘s bat after the southpaw’s recent struggles with the bat. This took place during the fourth T20I between India and England at the MCA Cricket Stadium in Pune on Friday, January 31.
For context, Kohli had gifted Rinku a bat a month before the 2024 Indian Premier League. In a video, Rinku was seen telling Kohli that the bat had broken from the toe-end. Although Kohli initially scolded him, he later provided Rinku with another bat.
During the fourth T20I, a fan brought up this incident while Rinku was fielding on the boundary, suggesting he return Kohli’s bat, as the latter had been struggling for form.
“Kohli ki bat de de mere bhai. Form chala gaya hai mere bhai (Please return Kohli’s bat to him, brother. He has lost all his form),” said Mahale, the fan.

Rinku Singh had a modest series against England, accumulating just 39 runs from two innings, with a top score of 30.
Virat Kohli Represents Delhi in the Ranji Trophy
Kohli recently featured for Delhi in their final Ranji Trophy match against Railways at the Arun Jaitley Stadium last week. Reports indicate that over 13,000 fans attended the match to watch him bat.
Unfortunately, Kohli’s struggles with the bat continued as he was dismissed for just six by Railways’ seamer Himanshu Sangwan. Despite his dismissal, Delhi secured a famous win, although they failed to qualify for the knockout rounds of the Ranji Trophy.
Kohli is set to return to action in the three-match ODI series against England, beginning on February 6 in Nagpur. He is also expected to play a key role in India’s campaign for the ICC Champions Trophy later this month.
