Krunal Pandya has been extremely emotional as well as aggressive so far in his debut match against England at Pune. The debutant even had a heated exchange with England fast bowler Tom Currant during his knock. It all started when Tom Curran deceived Krunal with a slower bouncer but the umpire signalled it wide. Curran was visibly upset and even gave a mouthful to Krunal Pandya when he came at the non-striker’s end.
Krunal was not all going to let Curran have a go at him as he aggressively went towards him and sledged him. Even the Indian captain Virat Kohli was stunned after seeing Krunal being so aggressive as Curran wisely went towards his bowling mark.

England stand-in skipper Jos Buttler and the umpire too came near the two players to calm them down. Krunal was fired up and seemed upset after Curran had said something to him when he was batting so well. Krunal let his bat do all the talking as he smashed the fastest half-century by a debutant in ODI cricket. The all-rounder reached the mark in just 26 balls and provided India with much needed late flourish during the death overs.
Eventually, India on the back of a partnership between Krunal and KL Rahul reached a total of 317 runs after 50 overs. England will now have to bat extremely well to win the match and take a 1-0 lead in the 3 match ODI series. Meanwhile here’s the video of Krunal Pandya and Tom Curran having a verbal spat during the field during the first ODI.
