The latest ICC Test rankings has seen a shift of positions for a number of players concerned with the India-Australia Test series. Virat Kohli has dropped to number two in the rankings. He is on 886 points below Steve Smith who is on 911. The latest rankings also saw India batsmen Chesteshwar Pujara and Ajinkya Rahane making it to the top 10 positions in the list. While Pujara was placed at the no. 7th position with 766 points, and it was Rahane at the no. 10th position with 726 points.

Latest ICC Test Rankings Are Out

Meanwhile, among the other batters are Kane Williamson (877), Marnus Labuschange (827) and Pakistan test skipper Babar Azam (797). David Warner (793), Ben Stokes (760) and Joe Root (738) make up the top 10.

Among the bowlers, Pat Cummins continues to lead the table with 904 points followed by Stuart Broad (845) and Neil Wagner (840). Jasprit Bumrah (779) and R Ashwin (756) are the two Indian bowlers in the top 10. While Bumrah is placed eighth, Ashwin is placed at number 10. Both the bowlers are in the Indian test squad for the Australia series. The two will be expected to deliver for the team in the testing conditions in Australia.

Among all-rounders, Ravindra Jadeja and Ashwin — also feature in the top-10 list for ICC Test rankings for all-rounders, which is being topped by Stokes. While Jadeja is placed third in the chart with 397 rating points behind West Indies skipper Jason Holder, Ashwin is at sixth with 281 points.

India-Australis test series is one of the much-anticipated series that will start with the first Test in Adelaide on December 17. In the limited-overs leg, Australia won the ODI series, while India won the T20Is.
