In the aftermath of the death-dealing COVID-19 pandemic, India is observing a total nation-wide lockdown which has been further extended till May 3. Virat Kohli along with his wife Anushka Sharma have remained vocal when it comes to spreading awareness about the ongoing coronavirus crisis ever since the deadly disease made its presence felt in India.

India skipper Virat Kohli and wife Anushka Sharma spoke in an online class organised by “Unacademy” where they spoke about how the sense of gratitude towards frontline workers has increased during the COVID-19 pandemic and hoped this remains even after the crisis is over.

He opined that the people have become more compassionate while dealing with the deadly pandemic which has forced the entire nation to embrace self-quarantine measures at home. Virat Kohli felt that life is going to be different after the deadly virus is over.

“The one positive out of this crisis that we as a society have become more compassionate. We are showing more gratitude to the frontline workers in this war. Be it police personnel, doctors or nurses. I hope it stays this way even after we overcome this crisis,” said Kohli with Sharma seated next to her.

“Life is unpredictable. So, do what makes you happy and not get into comparisons all the time. People have a choice now how to come out of this phase. Life is going to be different after this,” said the skipper.

Meanwhile, the Union Health Ministry on Monday said the rate at which the number of COVID-19 cases in the country was doubling in the last one week improved to 7.5 days. It is against 3.4 days before the nationwide lockdown was imposed.

On the work front, Virat Kohli will next be seen in the action when the Indian Premier League gets underway. Following the COVID-19 pandemic, the officials postponed the tournament indefinitely.
