He was given a chance as Rohit Sharma was ruled out of the third ODI due to a thumb injury. Kishan opened the innings and created enough pressure on Bangladesh bowlers with his hitting abilities. Shikhar Dhawan was dismissed cheaply by Mehidy Hasan Miraz. Kishan completed fifty off 49 balls before launching an out attack against Bangladesh bowlers.
Kishan dominated the opponent bowlers completing his century off 85 balls. He continued his aggression and made life tough for Bangladesh. It was exceptional hitting by Ishan Kishan enjoying his batting against the spinners and pacers. He completed his double century off 126 balls and eventually was caught by Das for 210 off 131 balls with 24 fours and 10 sixes.
During his record-breaking innings, Kishan broke many records including being the youngest batter to hit a double century in ODI cricket. Rohit Sharma is currently at the top with 3 double tons, Sachin Tendulkar, Chris Gayle, Martin Guptill and Fakhar Zaman.

He became the fourth Indian to hit a double century in ODI cricket. The other 3 Indians include Rohit Sharma, Sachin Tendulkar and Virender Sehwag. Ishan Kishan became the sixth-highest individual scorer in ODI cricket. Fakhar Zaman scored 210 not out against Zimbabwe.

He became the fastest double centurion in ODI cricket scoring off 126 balls. The previous best was by Chris Gayle. Kishan became the highest scorer by any batter in 50 overs format. The previous best was by Shane Watson.
Ishan Kishan became the highest induvial scorer by an Indian batter in ODI cricket against Bangladesh. He surpassed Virender Sehwag’s total of 175 during the first match of World Cup 2011.
He surpassed the most sixes by an Indian in ODIs against Bangladesh. Kishan hit 10 sixes while Sourav Ganguly smashed 7.
