Mumbai Indians (MI) defeated Delhi Capitals (DC) by five wickets in their encounter at Wankhede stadium in the ongoing season of Indian Premier League. It is the third time in a row that RCB have reached the IPL playoffs.

It was a must win game for Delhi to reach the playoffs. However, they failed to defend 159 runs. Khaleel Ahmed gave a brilliant start to the Capitals in the powerplay bowling a tight line and length before Anrich Nortje dismissed Rohit Sharma

However, Ishan Kishan and Dewald Brevis formed a 51 runs partnership to take MI out of trouble. Kishan scored brilliant 48 runs in 35 balls. Brewis too played an anchoring knock of 37 runs. Delhi still needed 59 runs in the last 5 overs to win.

In such a pressure situation, Tim David took the game away from Delhi. David played a mind-blowing knock of 34 runs in 11 balls which helped Delhi Capitals successfully chase the target with five balls to spare. RCB players and fans were very happy with this win of Mumbai Indians.
