Former India batter Mohammad Kaif has picked his all-time Indian Premier League (IPL) XI, which features a number of well-known players. He fielded a team with as many as six foreign players, including former Chennai Super Kings star MS Dhoni, who was named captain.

Chris Gayle and Rohit Sharma are the openers while Virat Kohli is at no. 3. Gayle is a game-changer, according to Kaif, and his IPL record is nothing short of sensational. While praising Rohit for leading Mumbai Indians to five IPL titles.

The veteran referred to Virat Kohli as a run machine and a source of inspiration for many. Suresh Raina, AB de Villiers, and MS Dhoni have been selected for the middle order, and the trio has played multiple damaging knocks in the gala competition.

“Gayle is a dangerous batter in the IPL. He’s been a game-changer and a run-scorer whenever he’s performed well. Rohit Sharma has been a part of the Indian cricket team for a long time and has won five trophies as captain. A fantastic short-format player. Virat Kohli is King Kohli.  Has scored plenty of runs in the IPL”, said Mohammad Kaif in a video for Sportskeeda.

“By leading India to victory in the 2007 World Cup, he (MS Dhoni) created the groundwork for T20 cricket in India. He’s also won four IPL championships. He’s a big T20 player and a seasoned captain.” he continued.

Kaif chose Andre Russell for his explosive batting and Rashid Khan for his ability to bowl economical spells among the all-rounders. In the bowling department, Sunil Narine, Jasprit Bumrah, and Lasith Malinga join forces to complete the XI.
