Virat Kohli is loved and adored by everyone all around the globe. Very few cricketers have matched the charisma that Kohli consistently possess both on and off-field. Appreciation for Kohli is nothing new but when a contemporary cricketer’s wife reveals that her child wants to be like him it is indeed very special.

A video has gone viral on social media where David Warner’s wife Candice has given a special mention to the Indian captain. While speaking to Triple M Sydney radio station when Candice by the presenters was asked about whether her family plays backyard cricket. To this Candice had an interesting answer and revealed his family does play cricket at home and one of her children always wants to be Virat Kohli. 

“We do play a little bit of backyard cricket. The funny thing is my girls, sometimes they wanna be dad, sometimes they wanna be Finchy (Aaron Finch) but my middle child, she wants to be Virat Kohli. And I am not even joking,” said Candice Warner.

Well, this is not the first time the Warner household have showcased their admiration for Kohli. During the lockdown, David Warner posted a video on his official account while playing cricket with his daughter Ivy Mae. When Warner asked her who her favourite player is she immediately responded with ‘I’m Virat Kohli’. Also, Kohli himself saw the lovable video and was bowled by the cuteness of Ivy. 

Meanwhile, Kohli is now gearing up to play against his favourite opponents Australia. Kohli and Warner will be rivals once against from the 27 November when team India kick off their challenging tour against the Aussies with the first ODI at Sydney. 

The last time Kohli and Warner faced each other was in the eliminator of IPL 2020. It was Warner’s dominant Sunrisers Hyderabad that tasted success and knocked Kohli’s RCB out of the competition.
