The Indian Premier League (IPL) is certainly the wealthiest and the toughest T20 league in the cricketing world. And the Pakistan cricket team’s pacer Shaheen Shah Afridi, not long ago, opened up regarding his IPL judgements.

The IPL has come a long way and has seen it all since it was established in the year 2008. The tournament kicked off after the Indian cricket team’s triumph at the ICC T20 World Cup 2007.

Numerous folklores of the game have played the tournament and have tried to make it into the Indian arena. There was a time, in the beginning, when Pakistani players were permitted to play a part in the IPL; but due to certain serious conflicts between the nations, the consent was denied.

Moving towards the point, Afridi was recently asked about playing in the IPL and the 22-year-old replied that playing for the country is the proudest moment for him. Afridi furthermore added that playing all three formats for Pakistan and competing in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) is enough for him.

“Playing for your country is the proudest moment for any cricketer, so my priority is always my Pakistan. Playing all three formats for your country and then PSL is enough for me right now,” the left-arm pacer asserted.

More to the point, Shaheen Afridi is at his prime with a more than decent County run. Afridi has played 25 Test matches with 95 wickets in his account. While, in the white-ball format, Afridi has played 30 ODIs and 40 T20 International games picking 59 and 47 wickets in that order. Additionally, Afridi recently became the youngest skipper to win the PSL title. His team Lahore Qalandars won the PSL 2022 cup.
