The IPL 2021 was postponed by the BCCI after positive COVID cases emerged from various camps. The Indian board was then successful in getting the window they wanted between September-October ahead of the T20 World Cup. The marquee event will start just three days after the end of IPL 2021 on October 15.
Meanwhile, Rajasthan Royals will play three games in Dubai and two each in Abu Dhabi and Sharjah to complete their league phase. They resume their campaign against Punjab and end it against Kolkata Knight Riders in Sharjah.
Sharjah was a lucky ground for the side last season. They won two back-to-back high-scoring games last season at the venue to start their campaign with thrilling wins.
The side will look to advance through to the playoffs and win their second title after becoming the first team to win the IPL back in 2008.
