Malan has staggering numbers with the bat in T20Is and is expected to make his IPL debut in the upcoming season. So far Malan hasn’t been part of the IPL but this time and has registered himself in the auction at a base price of INR 1.5 crores. Rajasthan Royals who finished at the bottom of the IPL table last season will certainly be eyeing Malan in the auction who will provide their batting much-needed solidity.

The IPL mini-auction is set to take place on Thursday, February 18 in Chennai where all franchise will be aiming to make their sides formidable for the upcoming season. Ahead of the game-changing auction a fan on Instagram a fan insisted Rajasthan Royals pick Malan in the auction as he can be an ideal opening partner for Jos Buttler.

“Malan is a good opener and good partner for Jos Buttler,” the fan commented.

As usual, the Rajasthan Royals franchise came with a witty reply which suggested that the franchise will certainly be looking at Malan in the auction.

Meanwhile, if Malan is part of Rajasthan Royals he will join his England teammates such as Ben Stokes, Jofra Archer, Jos Buttler at the franchise. The opening combination of Malan and Buttler will surely intimidate bowlers of other IPL sides. Rajasthan Royals were the champions of the first edition of IPL but since then has struggled to consistently perform throughout the season.
