Ravichandran Ashwin took a moment to troll former Australian cricketers Mark Waugh, Michael Clarke, Brad Haddin and Ricky Ponting after India memorable Test series win at The Gabba. Australia were unbeaten at this venue for the last 31 years and Team India beat them by three wickets on Tuesday to complete a 2-1 series win. This happened after India lost the first Test in Adelaide being bowled out for just 36 runs in the second innings.

This was what made the former Australian cricketers predict a Test series loss for India. All of them said that it would be incredibly difficult for this Indian team to win the series with their skipper Virat Kohli not being available for the final three Tests.

Former England skipper Michael Vaughan too predicted a 4-0 Test series loss for India after their loss in Adelaide. However, against all odds, Ajinkya Rahane’s men launched a great fightback and completed a memorable series win on Australian soil.  In the process, they also retained the Border-Gavaskar trophy having won it previously under Virat Kohli’s leadership in 2018-19.

“Good evening from Gabba!! I am sorry I couldn’t play here but thanks for hosting us and playing some hard cricket during these tough times. We will remember this series forever” wrote Ashwin on his Twitter handle.

He then replied to the former cricketers in another tweet. “LHS ( not = ) RHS ! Yours happily India tour of OZ 2020/21 Humbled by all the love and support we have received over the last 4 weeks!”
