Rohit Sharma Posts A Series Of Bizzare Tweets; Yuzvendra Chahal And Harsha Bhogle React

A series of bizzare tweets from Indian skipper Rohit Sharma on Tuesday left the fans in confusion. The content of those Tweets was very weird and it wasn’t anything Rohit generally does. There were several cryptic sentences that made the viewers wonder what topic is exactly being talked about.

“I love coin tosses…especially when they end up in my belly!”, Rohit wrote in the first tweet at 11 am.

Three hours later, another tweet read: “Bzz….! Did you know? Buzzing beehives make for great boxing bags!”

And in the latest tweet at 4 PM, the Indian skipper wrote: “Cricket balls are edible…right?”

Some fans suspected that his account might be hacked while others thought that this might be a part of the social media strategy of any brand, Rohit is associated with.

After seeing such strange behaviour from Rohit Sharma, Team India leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal also asked him on Twitter if everything was fine. “Bhaiya? What’s happening, Sab theek hai na?”, Chahal said replying to Rohit’s latest tweet.

Renowned cricket expert Harsha Bhogle, was also left puzzled after reading Rohit Sharma’s tweets. “Uh…What? All okay Captain? Can’t make heads or tails of this.”, Harsha wrote.

Rohit Sharma should not lose focus from batting- Saba Karim

In the recently concluded three-match T20I series against Sri Lanka, Rohit Sharma only managed to score 50 runs in the entire series. He had a subpar average of 16.67 and didn’t look in the best of form. Now, ex-national selector and India player Saba Karim has opined that Rohit is in the team primarily for his batting and that he should not allow captaincy to impact his form with the bat.

While speaking on the ‘Khelneeti’ podcast, Saba Karim said:

“Rohit Sharma is in the XI because of his batting. Captaincy is an additional responsibility. He should not lose focus with regards to batting. Lot of times we have seen that captains are not able to perform as well in their primary skill. This should not happen.”
