Sports presenter Sanjana Ganesan resumed her professional life after marriage with Jasprit Bumrah earlier this month. The duo got married amid a small family gathering on March 15 in Goa. The news of their marriage went viral on social media after Bumrah was released from the Indian squad before the fourth test against England. Later, he was also not included in the T20I squad as well. Post marriage, Bumrah looks set to miss the three ODI’s against England too to be played in Pune. He will be making a comeback in the IPL 2021 for Mumbai Indians.

Meanwhile, Sanjana is back to work as she was seen hosting the pre-match show on Star Sports before the second ODI between India and England. It was Suhail Chandhok who hosted the pre-match show all through the Test matches and the T20Is. Suhail hosted the pre-match show for the first ODI as well.

Meanwhile, the comeback of Sanjana Ganesan to work excited the Twitterverse who did not shy away from sharing their excitement.

After her marriage with Bumrah, Sanjana as well as the Indian cricketer had taken to their respective social media accounts to share the big news.

Sanjana tweeted, “Love, if it finds you worthy, directs your course.” Steered by love, we have begun a new journey together. Today is one of the happiest days of our lives and we feel blessed to be able to share the news of our wedding and our joy with you. Sanjana & Jasprit.”

On the other hand, the second ODI is currently underway in Pune. Both teams have rung in a few changes, While India drafted in Rishabh Pant in place of Shreyas Iyer, Liam Livingstone replaced Eoin Morgan in the middle-order. England have also added Dawid Malan and Reece Topley.

Meanwhile, Pant is making a comeback to ODI cricket after 437 days since his last game. He did travel to New Zealand but sat out in all 8 white-ball matches as KL Rahul continued to don the gloves. He was also dropped from ODI and T20I squads for the Australia tour last year as the selectors retained Sanju Samson.
