As per reports in GEO TV, 20-year old Pakistan pacer Shaheen Shah Afridi will get engaged to former Pakistan cricketer Shahid Afridi’s daughter Aqsa. Afridi is blessed with five daughters and Aqsa is the eldest of them all. Aqsa, Ansha, Ajwa, Asmara, and Arwa are tha names of Afridi’s daughters. As per reports in Pakistan media, Shaheen’s family had sent the proposal which has been accepted by Shahid Afridi’s family. Both Shaheen and Shahid Afridi’s daughter Aqsa are 20.
Shaheen’sfather Ayaz Khan confirmed to the media that both families, who have longstanding relations, have agreed to the proposal. A formal engagement is expected to be announced soon. The report further adds that a source from Shahid Afridi’s family revealed that the proposal was in discussion for the last two years.
Meanwhile, the news has been confirmed after it was speculated in the social media of the Indian neighbours. Shahid Afridi, who is a celebrated figure in Pakistan, is expected to make a formal announcement soon from his side.
Meanwhile, Shaheen Afridi made his international debut in 2018 and since then has become a crucial member of the team across all formats. The left-arm pacer has so far played 15 Tests, 22 ODIs, and 21 T20Is for Pakistan. Internationally he has 48 wickets in Tests, 45 in ODIs and 24 in T20Is.

Clarifying the rumours, Pakistani journalist Ihtisham ul Haq took to Twitter to inform about the same and confirmed that the proposal has been accepted and everything else will follow later, once Aqsa completes her studies.
