Australia will play a multi-format series against Sri Lanka

Australia are touring Sri Lanka for a month-long cricketing fixture. The team will play three T20Is, five ODIs, and two Tests. The present T20 champions will be testing their strengths in the subcontinent, as the men in yellow aspire to defend the world title.

Although the tour was under terrorization of being abandoned due to the ongoing civil conflicts in Sri Lanka, things went well, as both cricket boards disclosed their consent to the much-awaited series.

The series will embark on Tuesday, June 7. The Aussies are playing in Sri Lanka for the first time since 2016 and will be tackling a much more transformed Lankan lineup than that of 2016.

Schedule

First of all, the two islands will fight in a T20I series starting on June 7. The first game will be played at R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo. The 2nd T20I will be played on June 8, at the same venue. While, the third game will be played at Pallekele, on June 11. All three contests will start at 7 PM IST.

Discussing the ODI arena, the first two ODI games will be played at Pallekele International Cricket Stadium, on June 14 and June 16, correspondingly. The two sides will travel to Colombo, again, for the remaining three ODI games. These matches will be played on June 19, 21, and 24, respectively. All the 50-over games will start at 2 PM IST.

In the end, a two-match Test series will be played at the Galle International Stadium, as a part of the World Test Championship 2021-23 cycle. The first Test will be played from June 29 to July 3, while the second Test will start on July 8.
