Watch – T Natarajan Gets a Grand Reception in His Hometown

Natarajan went to Australia as a net bowler and made his debut in all three formats.

T Natarajan returned to his home town in Salem in Tamil Nadu on Thursday from Australia. The left-arm pacer went there as a net bowler and made his debut for the country in all three formats. The left-arm pacer was one of the finds of this series having made a name for himself in the last edition of the IPL. Making his debut in the final Test match in Brisbane, the left-arm pacer picked up three wickets in the first innings as he displayed his immense skill with the ball.

Natarajan Returns Home to Enormous Reception

On Thursday, a pack of thousands of people in his hometown welcomed him back. The road was filled with countless people who cheered for their hero who made a name for himself playing for the Indian cricket team.

Natarajan went to Australia as a net bowler and made his debut in all three formats. He became the first player to make his debut in all three formats in a single tour. With several Indian bowlers getting injured throughout the tour, Natarajan first made his debut in ODI cricket followed by T20I, and finally Test cricket with all senior Indian bowlers injured and ruled out.

Natarajan picked up two wickets in his debut ODI game. He then played all the three T20Is picking up a total of six wickets. He picked up three wickets in the first innings of his debut Test as India won the final Test match in Sydney and the series.

Parents Welcome Back Shardul Thakur

Shardul Thakur too returned back to Mumbai from Australia on Thursday. He also likes Natarajan virtually made his Test debut in Sydney. He bowled just 11 balls on his Test debut before pulling out with an injury.

Getting his opportunity in Sydney, Thakur made it count. He scored 67 with the bat and added a crucial 123 run seventh-wicket stand with Washington Sundar. He also picked up seven wickets in his debut Test and made a match-winning contribution to the series win in the process.
