India beat Bangladesh by five runs in another thrilling match and take the first place in the points table. KL Rahul’s brilliant form is the biggest plus point for the Indian team in this important match against Bangladesh.

Batting first, the Indian team reached 184 for 6 in the 20 overs. In reply, Liton Das’ aggressive half-century put the Indian team under pressure. Importantly, due to the rain interruption, Bangladesh were likely to win the match under DLS rules. But after the rain stopped, the Indian team made a brilliant comeback and won a thrilling match.

India will play their last match of the Super 12 round against Zimbabwe on Sunday. In this article, we are going to look at three things that can be a headache for the Indian team in the match against Zimbabwe.

#1 Poor form of Rohit Sharma

Indian captain Rohit Sharma’s poor form is becoming a concern for the Indian team. Rohit has failed to perform Well except for his half-century against Netherlands in this World Cup. Interestingly, Rohit’s strike rate is also very low and due to this, the pressure is increasing on Team India.

In the match against Bangladesh too, Rohit scored only 2 runs in 8 balls. So surely Rohit’s lack of form in the match against Zimbabwe can be a headache for the Indian team.

#2 Dinesh Karthik’s failure

Like Rohit Sharma, India’s finisher Dinesh Karthik has also failed in the T20 World Cup. Importantly, Dinesh Karthik’s performance as a wicket-keeper has also been poor, and this increas the pressure on the Indian team.

Karthik has not even got a full chance to bat and this could cost the Indian team a lot in the match against Zimbabwe. It will be interesting to see whether India will replace Dinesh Karthik with Rishabh Pant in the final XI against Zimbabwe or not.

#3 Performance of spinners

The Indian spin duo of Ravichandran Ashwin and Axar Patel have not been able to perform in the T20 World Cup so far. Spin bowling has always been the strongest point for the Indian team and surely both of them will be expected to perform well.

The important thing is that Zimbabwe have some good players of spin like Sikandar Raza and this can definitely be a concern for the Indian team. Many cricket experts have demanded that Yuzvendra Chahal should be included in the Indian team instead of Ashwin. It will be interesting to see if Chahal is included in the final XI or not.
