Pakistan cricketer Ahmed Shehzad feels Team India does not have any threatening bowling in their side. He expressed that the likes of Jasprit Bumrah, Ravindra Jadeja, R Ashwin are good bowlers but not dangerous. He added that their bowling won’t scare opposition bowlers.

Ahmed Shehzad recently appeared on Nadir Ali’s podcast and spoke about a lot of things. He discussed his bond with Team India batter Virat Kohli. The opener also spoke about India’s bowling attack, which he feels is not threatening. Shehzad expressed that India has a dangerous batting line-up, but not the bowling attack. He said,

“No disrespect to them. But there hasn’t been any threatening bowler from India that the opposition batter is scared to play him. They have good bowlers like Bumrah, Jadeja and Ashwin, but there has not been a dangerous bowler as such. Their batters are dangerous.”

Pakistan batter Ahmed Shehzad further recalled facing former Pakistan speedster Shoaib Akhtar in the nets, while speaking on the Nadir Ali podcast. He revealed that the bowler never tried to hurt batters in the nets. Ahmed Shehzad highlighted two of Shoaib Akhtar’s qualities. He said that the bowler never bowled no-balls and unnecessary bouncers.

“I can’t recollect any other bowler apart from Shoaib Akhtar. When I was new to the team, he was already The Shoaib Akhtar. He had 2 great qualities. First, he never bowled no-balls in the nets. Second, he never bowled unnecessary bouncers to the batters in the nets. He knew the batter would get hurt,” said Shoaib Akhtar on Nadir Ali’s podcast.

Shoaib Akhtar is one of the fastest bowlers of all time and holds the record for the fastest ball ever bowled in cricket, clocking at 161.3 kmph against England in 2003. He has 444 International wickets to his name, with 16 five-wicket hauls, and a couple of ten-fors.
