Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) wicketkeeper-batter Jitesh Sharma has been named captain of India A for the upcoming Rising Stars Asia Cup 2025, scheduled to take place in Qatar from November 14 to 23. The multi-nation tournament will see India A placed in Group B alongside Pakistan A, Oman, and UAE, while Group A includes Afghanistan A, Bangladesh A, Hong Kong, and Sri Lanka A.

The BCCI unveiled the 15-member squad on Tuesday, November 4, confirming Jitesh Sharma as skipper. The wicketkeeper-batter is currently part of India’s ongoing T20I series against Australia. Meanwhile, Mumbai Indians and Punjab all-rounder Naman Dhir has been appointed vice-captain, and young batting sensation Vaibhav Sooryavanshi has earned his maiden India A selection.

The squad also features Punjab Kings (PBKS) talents Priyansh Arya and Nehal Wadhera, who strengthen the batting lineup with their promising form. Suyash Sharma and Harsh Dubey will spearhead the spin department, providing crucial support in middle overs. In the pace unit, Gurjapneet Singh and Vijaykumar Vyshak bring both depth and variation, adding balance to India A’s bowling attack.

The Jitesh Sharma-led India A team will begin their Rising Stars Asia Cup 2025 journey with a clash against the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on Friday, November 14. They will next face Pakistan A on Sunday, November 16, before concluding their group-stage campaign with a match against Oman on Tuesday, November 18.

The semi-finals are slated for Friday, November 21, followed by the final on Sunday, November 23. All fixtures will be hosted at the West End International Cricket Stadium in Doha, Qatar.
