IPL 2020 is all set to begin on Saturday as all eyes will be glued to the action in the UAE. The RCB franchise will be once again looking to clinch their maiden IPL title under Virat Kohli. RCB this year looks a well-balanced outfit and are touted as one of the contenders to win IPL 2020.

Ahead of the season their star batsman AB de Villiers talked about the big season ahead. The South African firstly lauded BCCI’s effort to finally contest the IPL this year outside India.

“I think the clarity about the IPL happening came one month back, more or less. BCCI has done a remarkable job in getting the IPL going, we are very excited to play the tournament. I am feeling better than ever so I am looking to be out there with the boys,” de Villiers said in an interview video uploaded by RCB.

Kohli Leads From The Front- de Villiers

Further, he commended the work ethic of his squad and gave all the credit to his good friend Virat Kohli. De Villiers also pointed out that Kohli always sets the right examples for all the players to follow as he always leads from the front.

“We have worked so hard, we have a good work ethic, it feels like everyone has bought into this hard-working environment. The credit needs to go to Virat, he sets the example and leads from the front. It is pretty easy to follow when you have a captain who is always leading from the front”, de Villiers added.

Meanwhile, de Villiers is also pleased with the mood in the camp and options the team has this year after the auction. He believes that there is a solid backup of players for every department that will ultimately boost RCB in the upcoming IPL.

“There is a different feel this time, there is back up everywhere looking at our options. Virat and coaches can find the best playing XI, there are options in every single department, be it batting, bowling, and fielding,” de Villiers said.
