Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma have been two stalwarts of the modern-day game. The two swashbuckling batters ensured a smooth transition into the team after the likes of Sachin Tendulkar and Virender Sehwag bid farewell. Recently, another vital cog in the current setup, Shikhar Dhawan picked one batsman he loves to watch between Kohli and Rohit.

Meanwhile, the current India skipper has been the best in the business across all the formats. He is the only batsman to average over 50 in all the three formats at present. On the other hand, Rohit Sharma had a rollicking 2015 where he struck five centuries in the World Cup.

While both of them share a great camaraderie, there is constant competition going on between them. Recently during a conversation with Sports Tak, Dhawan picked one between Kohli and Rohit whom he loves to watch.

“Everyone is special and that’s how you create a team. Every individual is different. Individuality is very very important, that makes the team,” Dhawan said.

“Like Rohit, at the start, he takes his time and once he gets going, no one can beat him. On the other hand, Virat’s consistency and class, it’s amazing. I feel very lucky and grateful that I have been a part of this era,” the Delhi cricketer added.

Meanwhile, speaking about Shikhar Dhawan, the southpaw has had a tough going in recent times. With his struggling form, it has difficult for him to retain his spot amid the rise of KL Rahul in the top-order. But Shikhar Dhawan is keen to fight his way back and is ready to play domestic cricket to come back.

However, with the COVID-19 outbreak and prevailing lockdown, it is still not known when cricket will resume. BCCI is working on all aspects to start training as soon as the curve starts to flatten.
