Royal Challengers Bangalore has progressed through to the playoffs despite going down against Delhi Capitals on November 2 (Monday). However, the think tank will be worried about Chris Morris and Navdeep Saini’s injury but skipper Virat Kohli has shared a positive update the two vital cogs of the side.

Incidentally, Navdeep Saini missed the Delhi Capitals tie failing to pass the fitness test. Young all-rounder Shahbaz Ahmed played in his place and made a significant contribution scalping two big wickets. On the other hand, Chris Morris suffered an injury during his first spell and went out of the ground. He never returned to the field as Pawan Negi fielded as a substitute cricketer.

Hopefully, they will play next game – Virat Kohli

Speaking at the end of the game, Virat Kohli said that the management needs to assess Chris Morris and Navdeep Saini. However, he is hopeful that both of them will be available for the eliminator clash on November 6 (Friday).

“We’ll have to assess what’s happening, hopefully, they’ll (Morris and Saini) be fine by the time we play our next game. And see how they go in the next few days,” Virat Kohli said.

Meanwhile, Royal Challengers Bangalore will lock horns with one between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Kolkata Knight Riders. Incidentally, Hyderabad play defending champions Mumbai Indians tonight. If they beat Mumbai, Hyderabad will set up a date with Virat Kohli & Co; otherwise, Kolkata will go through.

On the other hand, Mumbai Indians and Delhi Capitals have finished on the top of the points table and will play the Qualifier 1. The grand finale of another successful edition of IPL will take place on November 10 at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.
