Rohit Sharma is currently out of action due to a hamstring injury. The Mumbai Indians skipper has not featured in the last few matches as the management is not taking any chances with his injury. Before every MI match, Rohit is spotted walking gingerly and has not resembled fully fit.

Now Rohit Sharma has hinted at his possible return after looking at easy in the latest net session. The Mumbai Indians franchise updated all their fans by sharing a video of Rohit smashing bowlers in the nets.

As usual, Rohit seemed close to his best and executed attacking strokes against both pace and spin. Interestingly his footwork looked impressive against the fast bowler and it is now understood that he might just feature in the playoffs matches leading the Mumbai Indians.

Meanwhile, Rohit was also omitted from India’s squad for the tour to Australia. The medical report suggested that the batsman is at risk of aggravating his injury if he isn’t cautious. Several reports revealed that it is highly improbable that Rohit will play any more matches in IPL 2020.

The physios are closely monitoring the progress of Rohit and only once he is wholly fit he will be permitted to take part in matches. In his absence, Kieron Pollard is doing a commendable job and leading MI in the ongoing IPL season.

The latest net session of Rohit has indicated that his comeback is not far away. Rohit is the most successful skipper in IPL history and will be eager to lead MI to a 5th title.

Furthermore, Mumbai Indians became the first franchise to qualify for the playoffs. The defending champions have cemented their position in the top 2 and will be playing the qualifier 1. Tomorrow they face Sunrisers Hyderabad in their last league match where Rohit is expected to sit out.
