After Sachin Tendulkar announced that he will be getting hospitalized as a precautionary measure against COVID-19 he has received some heartwarming messages from all around the world. None better than the message posted by his great on-field rival during his career the legendary fast bowler Wasim Akram. The former Pakistani cricketer wished Tendulkar a speedy recovery from COVID-19 and reminded everyone how he is no stranger to overcoming hurdles as he did it when made his debut at the age of 16 against Pakistan.

Back in 1989 the young Tendulkar took a nasty blow while batting but didn’t back down and scored a commendable half-century. Akram believes that Tendulkar will hit COVID-19 for a six and regain full health very soon. Also, Akram opined Tendulkar to celebrate the 10th anniversary of India’s famous 2011 world cup win with the hospital staff and share photos on social media.

Meanwhile, earlier in the day, Tendulkar on Twitter revealed about getting hospitalized ‘as a matter of abundant precaution under medical advice. Recently Tendulkar led the Indian legends side in the Road Safety World Super Series in Raipur. A few days after India won the tournament, Tendulkar was tested COVID-19 positive which shocked the entire cricketing world. The soon to be 48-year-old is hopeful that he will return back home in a few days and will be tested COVID-19 positive.
